WILL YOU BE LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS?

How many Bibles are in your home? Perhaps, most believers own more than one. Imagine if owning just one of those books put you in extreme danger…

That’s what happened to Ji Ho* and her father, in North Korea.

Ji Ho was a girl when North Korean security agents ransacked her home. They found a Bible wrapped in plastic, buried in the back garden. “My father and I sobbed,” Ji Ho remembers. “We knew we’d never see each other again.”

Her father was taken away and Ji Ho grew up alone. Struggling to survive. Often starving.

But you and I know, even in the darkest places, God cannot be silenced.

One day Ji Ho found her father’s tiny radio – and she heard the words of Jesus. “I’m a Christian now,” she says. “I might be the only Christian in North Korea.”

*Name changed. Ji Ho’s story is based on several true accounts of life in North Korea, to protect any specific person from being identified.

Will you help Christians like Ji Ho survive in the darkest places on earth?
  • Every HK$210 means an isolated believer could hear God speak through a regular radio broadcast.
  • Every HK$440 provides a food package to a North Korean believer to keep them alive.
  • Every HK$670 trains a Christian to withstand persecution in one of the world’s darkest places.

North Korea is the most dangerous place in the world to follow Jesus, again at number one on the World Watch List. Christians like Ji Ho, as well as others in Somalia, Libya, Eritrea and Yemen urgently need your support and prayers.

Thank you and may God richly bless you.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
